Wanderlust | Tokyo

Heya Everyone!
Or should I say こんにちは (Kon'nichiwa)
~ 'Hello' in Japanese~
I have been seeing a lot of people on the internet going to Japan, and I just wanted to say how unbelievably jealous I am of them. Tokyo, or Japan in general, is really high on my "Places to Travel" list.  Tokyo is known for it's efficient railways, tongue-gasmic food, and amazing architecture

I especially would LOVE to visit during the cherry blossom season. It looks so beautiful!

I think one of the big things why Tokyo appeals so much is because the amount of culture in one place. Tokyo is always bustling with people, as it is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. If you go down any street, there is something to do there. I would love to cross the famous Shibuya crossing
And eat the well-known Harajuku crepes. I've heard they're to DIE for. SO MANY CHOICES.
I always would love to try all of the different themed cafés around Tokyo. Pretty much anything you can think of has it's own place. Cat café, owl cafe, maid café, Pokémon café, Final Fantasy café, a NINJA BAR (WHAAAA!?). I've heard the Robot café is KILLER.
I mean does this not look like A LOT OF FUN.

Have you ever been to Tokyo? If so, what are some of your favorite things to see there? What would recommend as a 'MUST SEE'?

How to Combat Stress

Heya everyone!

If you are like me, you may be with me in saying that it is a stressful time of the year.  With homework, numerous projects, exams, working, and all other various non-school related activities, it can really wear down on your body and your mind.  After many experiences with stress, I have learned a thing or two about relaxing, that I think may be helpful to some people.

1. Meditation/Prayer
Especially before bed, meditating &/or praying(if it's your thing) can be a great way to clear your mind/get your mind settled.  If you are like me and are not a meditation expert, there are lots of resources online.  I particularly like (FREE) which includes soothing music, relaxing pictures, along with guided meditation by a women who has the most ~calm~ voice I've ever heard.  I have never felt so relaxed.  There are also TONS of meditation videos on YouTube that will do the trick as well. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend doing so; even 5 minutes a day can make such a huge difference!

2. Exercise
Any form of exercise you like is an awesome way to get the blood flowing and to get rid of extra stress.  That feeling of sweating out the stress is incredible and can really boost your mood and get rid of the negative energy.  Sometimes I just walk around in circles for 20 minutes and that's okay - it doesn't have to be running a marathon, any kind of exercise is better than nothing.

3. Writing
Even if you're not into writing per se, it can be a great tool in helping combat stress.  Writing things out whether it's a diary, poem, or fan fiction(no judgement) can be a great way to get all of your pent up emotions and to get your minds off reality...because who wants that...

4. Take care of yourself
This can mean a whole lot of things:
Eat right.  As tempting as pizza and hamburgers sound everyday, it is not good for your body or your mind.  It can make you feel sluggish, tired, and generally like crap if you eat nothing but junk food.  Fruits and veggies are your friend.
Get enough sleep.  As difficult as this may sound, getting enough sleep is ACTUALLY good for you.  Who knew?!  Even though us internet people spend way too late at night surfing the good old web, it is important to put your laptop or phone down and get a good nights rest.  Good for your body and all that science-y stuff.
Hygiene.  Although you may not feel like there is enough time in the day, it is important to make sure to keep up your hygiene, including but not limited to showering, brushing your teeth, changing your clothes on a regular  basis ect.  Feeling clean makes you feel good. :D

5. Breathe
This one is almost too obvious I shouldn't even mention it, but often times when we are stressed we forget to BREATHE.  We need to breathe otherwise we would die and all of that stuff, so promise me that you will keep doing that.  I don't think I need to say anything else about this...

Do it with me now: Deep breath in........deep breath out.........

Do you feel relaxed yet???

Stress can really wreck havoc, but just know that, with these tips, you can combat it.

You got it!

Sunday Sounds #7

I hope that you have all had a fabulous week and an even better/relaxing weekend thus far!  I have been listening to a lot of music lately(nothing new there) and it's nearly been 3 WHOLE MONTHS since I last did Sunday Sounds(omg), so I thought I would share some of my amazing finds with you this week.  It is a bit of an eclectic mix of music but I'm hoping that you will you appreciate some of them and maybe even find your new fave song :]

1. If You Wanna Stay The Griswolds
I first heard this song on Pandora and I instantly loved it for it's upbeat feel!!  I've never heard The Griswolds before(except I believe I have featured them in my Sunday Sounds before), but I think that they are very talented and underrated.  I especially appreciate the 80s ish vibe that the song gives off because it is a song that I can see myself blasting this in my car with the windows down.

2. Dead Inside Muse
I have been a long time lover of all Muse songs, and with their new album coming out soon, I was very excited.  They have recently released a couple of songs from this album and I like this song a lot.  The music video is a bit weird(Just a heads up!) but it is very much like a typical Muse song, including guitar riffs and strong bass line.  I wouldn't consider this my fave Muse song, but it is still worth a listen!

3. Wesley's Theory Kendrick Lamar
*Caution:  This song contains some explicit language.  Listen with caution.

I heard that Kendrick's new album 'To Pimp A Butterfly' was a real good'un, so obviously I had to take a listen for myself.  This song is one of my faves from the album, mainly because of the beat; it's just a real head-banger.  To be honest, I honestly don't listen to this genre of music(hip-hop/rap??) very often, but I have developed a true appreciation because of the underlying messages and ability to make the words flow smoothly together.  It takes a real talent that's for sure - I definitely couldn't do it!

I hope y'all enjoy this week's music picks!
Let me know of some of your fave songs at the moment!

See you sooooooonnnn x

Heya everyone!
I hope you are having a wonderful day!  I just wanted to take this opportunity and wish you all a happy( or in this case HOPPY ;]) Easter, and if you don't celebrate it, I still hope you have a great day!  Make sure to spend it with the people you love, whether that be family, friends, or both.

And whatever you do, don't (DON'T) eat so much chocolate!! You will regret that decision the next day.  (I may or may not have experienced this regret.)

Anyways, I hope, whatever you may be doing, that you have an amazing day.
Here are some Easter eggs that I dyed yesterday that I am sharing with you. <3

Lots of love,
