💙JOJOBA OIL

Hey friends! 😊

Today I'm going to talk about my growing love of jojoba oil and why I think you need jojoba oil in YOUR life.  (Trust me.)

As I get older, I am constantly looking for more and more effective skincare, while also being conscious of what ingredients they are made of - I prefer to use products that have a more natural (and therefore, less harsh) ingredients.  As I was doing research, I discovered this miracle oil called JOJOBA OIL.

According to JojobaCompany.com, Jojoba Oil (pronounced ho-HO-ba) is actually not an oil.  The liquid comes from the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis) native to the desert of Arizona, Mexico, and California.  It is similar to the sebum found in your skin.  The sebum keeps the moisture in your skin and hair.  Because it closely resembles the sebum of the skin, it absorbs nicely into your skin and hair.  Basically, jojoba oil = hydration. 💦As I live in dry Minnesota winters, jojoba is a LIFE SAVER.

I have used it for so many things, including:

Makeup remover

Add a few drops to a cotton pad and apply to face.  Rinse with water.

Post-shower/bath moisturizer

Just after showering, apply oil to damp skin.  Makes skin SO soft.

Facial cleanser

Cleanse skin with oil using either a cotton ball or hands.  Rinse with water.

Hair conditioning treatment

Apply a quarter-sized amount of oil onto wet hair.  Shampoo after 5-10 minutes.

Face Moisturizer

Apply oil to face after cleansing.  Wake up to soft and moisturized skin.

As you can tell, there are so many ways to use jojoba oil in your beauty routine.  And it's very inexpensive!  My favorite is from Desert Essence - Organic Jojoba Oil*.  You can find it on Amazon for less than $20!  And at 4.0 fl oz, it last for such a long time.

Hope you love it as much as I do!  Let me know if you have tried it and what ya think! 💙
